Question 1

What is Glovebox?

Accepted Answer

Glovebox is a Jamaican app that stores your vehicle documents — registration (eMVRC), fitness (e-Fitness), insurance and driver's licence — and reminds you before they expire, with automatic traffic-ticket checks.

Question 2

Is Glovebox free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Glovebox is free for one vehicle, including renewal reminders, traffic-ticket checks and document storage. Glovebox+ (more vehicles and a shared household) and the fleet and lender plans are coming soon.

Question 3

Where do I find my eMVRC Certificate Number and MVID?

Accepted Answer

Both are in the eMVRC email Tax Administration Jamaica sends you, and printed on your motor-vehicle registration receipt.

Question 4

How do I get a Certificate of Fitness (e-Fitness) in Jamaica?

Accepted Answer

Pay the fitness fee, take proof of payment and an email address to an Island Traffic Authority examination depot, pass the roadworthiness inspection, and your e-Fitness certificate is emailed to you.
